Music is an integral part of any occasion and especially so in the celebration of a loved one's life that has drawn to a close.
Justin and Bernadette are founding members of the acclaimed Sydney band Hat Trick. They offer a unique service.
Justin plays guitar, and Bernadette plays violin. Bernadette was trained by the Mercy nuns at OLMC Parramatta and is well versed in the practice of Christian burial, having played at many funerals during her formative violin playing years. Justin and Bernadette have worked for many years with WN Bull in all types of funeral ceremonies from Catholic Mass to crematorium and graveside ceremonies.
Your ceremony may include instrumental music, or a mixture of instrumental and vocals to mark different parts of the sendoff with lyrics that console.
The duo can be expanded by adding a vocalist and extra string and woodwind players to broaden the sound. This is appropriate in very large spaces. Minimal amplification is provided if necessary.
You may like to have Bernadette play beautiful solo violin by the graveside, eg, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Danny Boy, Going Home or a lilting Celtic melody.
